Abstract

This article proves the need of a deep sociological operationalization and conceptualization of the notion of “elec-toral socialization” as a tool for the sociological measurement of the social and political’ motive awareness of youth in the current realities. In this regard, the author defines the concepts of “electoral socialization” and “electoral behavior”. “Electoral behavior” considered as an indicator of the sociological measurement of electoral socialization, its nature and effectiveness, and therefore the author offers a set of criteria for assessing electoral behavior from the point of view of the sociological measurement.
