Abstract

The development of physical culture and sports (PCK&S) in our country is of particular importance. This significance is determined by the fact that they determine the quality of life of Russians and serve as the main social resource of economic and social development of society. This requires a measured and effective state policy for the development of the sphere of PC&S. The existing mechanism for the implementation of this policy, although it solves the main tasks of the development of this sphere, needs to be adjusted, especially to enhance the mass and regular physical education and sports among the population. Recommendations on the adjustment of the mechanism for the implementation of the state policy in the sphere of development of PC&S are given.
