Abstract

In article factors of ensuring steady functioning and development of regions of the North Caucasian Federal District reveal. The research is directed to development of the directions of improvement of the mechanism of management of sustainable development of regions – subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District on the basis of assessment of the selected key parameters of efficiency of their development. During the research the concept of stability of regional development is specified, the princi-ples of sustainable development are defined. Authors carried out the analysis of development of regions of the North Caucasian Federal District in a section of major factors of stability of a regional social and economic system. In article indicators of economic and social blocks of assessment of stability of development of the federal district are calculated and analysed, conclusions are drawn. Monitoring is carried out from 2005 for 2016. As a result of a research the unevenness of development of regions of the North Caucasian Federal District is shown. In work as authors the following methods of analytical processing of statistical materials are used: comparative, method of groups, method of mark assessment and ranging, method of average sizes tabular with elements of graphic illustration of data, system, structurally functional and statistical analysis and so forth. The main idea of research is that development of a complex of recommendations about improvement of management of sustainable development of regions needs to be carried out taking into account the available resource capacity of territories and coordination with the federal purposes. Transition to sustainable development of regions of the Russian Federation is possible only on condition of ensuring sustainable social and economic development of all its subjects.
