Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of inertia in the socio-economic collective representations of the population of the South of Russia. Based on the applied sociological research conducted in the summer of 2018 by the scientific collective of the South Russian branch of the Russian ACADEMY of Sciences, the analysis of the main blocks of col-lective attitudes of the population of the analyzed region regarding the socio-economic sphere of society and the model of interaction between the state and individuals. In the article the authors come to the conclusion that today there is a high level of inertia in the socio-economic collective perceptions of the inhabitants of the South of Russia, with respect to the share of state participation in ensuring the socio-economic well-being of individuals, due to the past Soviet experience, which had a strong impact on the ideological system of values of the population.
