Abstract

The article analyses and systematizes the most effective measures of improving the stability and efficiency of the energy sector based on the identification of typical energy sector development challenges in the developing regions of the world. An analysis of the experiences of global leading countries in finding solutions for achieving energy security is made, and the most effective measures aimed at improving the stability and efficiency of the energy sector are identified and systematized for each country. A determination is made, that the effectiveness of regulatory measures in achieving energy security, largely depends on the coordination of the actions of the state and the private sector, and the complexity of institutional, socio-economic, policy, technical, technological and infrastructure factors. Universal and local measures of increasing energy security are identified
