Abstract

In the framework of an integrative activity approach to the examination of the essence and structure of the motivation of work (E.P. Ilyin) and on the materials of applied sociological research "Professional identity of representatives of societal professions in conditions of precariatizing social and labor relations in Russian megalopolises" (2017), the article analyzes the main motives for professional choice and the prestige level of the medical profession in the assessment of doctors of Russian megalopolises. The questionnaires and interviews were attended by doctors from city budget hospitals in Moscow and Kazan.
