Abstract

Purpose. This article is devoted to the study of the concept of socio-political aspects of the Russian youth interaction with other generations in terms of the theory of generations. The purpose of the pre-sented research is to study the specificity of the development of modern youth values, as well as be-havioral and motivational features that encourage members of the younger generation to participate in the socio-political processes taking place in the Russian Federation at the present stage. Methods. Elements of system analysis, comparative approach, as well as general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis were used in the work. Results. As a result of the study, the author concluded that the analysis of the issue dealing with the concept of socio-political aspects of the Russian youth interaction with other generations in terms of the theory of generations showed that there was a sufficiently diverse palette of specific features and characteristics inherent in different generations, including the younger generation, which largely ex-plain the trends of behavior and attitudes of young people to the ongoing socio-political processes in the state. The theory of generation in the classical development by American researchers Neil Howe and William Strauss, as well as the interpreted Russian theory of generations can become the main key to understanding the system of values, views, guidelines and priorities of youth as the main driver of the Russian Federation development in the long term. Scientific novelty. The paper considers for the first time the concept of socio-political aspects of the Russian youth interaction with other generations in terms of the theory of generations
