Abstract

To consider the main trends of eco-tourism development in Russia taking into account domestic and foreign experience. The study notes that the development of eco-tourism contributes to the creation of reserves and parks, where the original state of nature and cleanliness are maintained. Eco-tourism in many Russian regions contributes to the increase of local employment and social and environmental development. The results of the research presented in the article were based on such scientific methods as logi-cal analysis, description, generalization, abstraction, observation, analogy, questioning. Secondary re-search conducted by the authors in the analysis of literary sources, statistical information and infor-mation published in specialized journals and databases of scientific works, sources on the Internet, including specialized tourist sites became the empirical base for the work. Methods of description, generalization and logical analysis were used to identify eco-tourism as an object of research. The results of the study can be used by Municipalities, subjects of the Russian Federation, Federal Executive authorities in the development and adjustment of Federal and regional policy in the field of eco-tourism, as well as in the preparation of specific recommendations to improve the regulation of internal and external tourist flows. The main problems of eco-tourism development in the regions of Russia as a sphere of activity aimed at improving the quality of life of the population are revealed, as well as the prospects of eco-tourism development in our country are considered. It is proved that eco-tourism gives a very tangible socio-economic effect for the Russian Federation, which has many criteria that contribute to the de-velopment of eco-tourism. Russia has many unique natural places, and it has all the opportunities to become a world leader in eco-tourism. Thus, the culture and natural conditions of the Russian area have a positive impact on the prospects of ecological tourism in Russia
