Abstract

In the period of "Industry 4.0" international academic mobility of students contributes to active integration of Russian universities in the international educational process, introduction of the world's leading educational standards in the educational process of our universities, a significant improvement in the quality of Russian education, the emergence of training programs aimed at training professionals of a new format and so on. Academic mobility is one of the main trends of the modern global educational system, which requires study for its further development. The authors analyzed the statistical indicators of academic mobility of foreign students in Russia and identified the basic problems for our country. The article substantiates the relevance of this topic for the Russian education system, identifies the Russian and foreign authors whose work is devoted to academic mobility. The intermediate result of activity of public authorities of the Russian Federation within attraction of foreign students for training in the Russian universities is summed up. In addition, the state policy of the USSR in the sphere of attracting foreign students is analyzed; a comparison with the similar policy of the Russian Federation is presented. In general, this study contributes to the development of mobility in higher education.
