Centros de desarrollo tecnológico en México: teoría, contextos, innovación e implicaciones

Abstract

Los Centros de Desarrollo Tecnológico (CDT) tienen una estrecha relación con los conceptos de investigación, innovación, competitividad y transferencia de tecnología, cuyo origen proviene de las teorías del desarrollo que han contribuido al impulso de las empresas de base tecnológica y al crecimiento económico global. En México, la Ley de Ciencia y Tecnología del año 2002 faculta al CONACYT como dependencia gubernamental rectora de los procesos para la generación y apropiación de nuevos conocimientos especializados, por lo que tiene a su cargo la dirección de 27 centros públicos de investigación a lo largo del país, que contribuyen a la investigación especializada y al desarrollo tecnológico. Para posicionar los CDT en México se propone un cambio sobre las estructuras actuales que rigen la investigación, el aumento de la inversión privada y la generación de nuevas estrategias de innovación y competitividad.
