Mobilidade Intergeracional Educacional no Brasil: Uma Análise Comparativa dos Anos de 1996 e 2014

Abstract

A transmissão intergeracional da educação tem um papel importante sobre a desigualdade de renda. O presente estudo busca analisar comparativamente as mobilidades intergeracionais educacionais nos anos de 1996 e 2014. Para tanto fez uso do suplemento de mobilidade educacional da Pesquisa Nacional de Amostra por Domicílios presente para os anos citados. Os resultados sugerem que houve um aumento no grau de mobilidade intergeracional educacional caracterizado por uma redução da persistência educacional dos pais menos letrados e aumento da persistência dos pais com mais escolaridade. Filhos corresidentes apresentaram uma maior dinâmica educacional comparado a dos emancipados. Famílias residentes em áreas rurais e na Região Nordeste apresentaram uma menor mobilidade educacional e as mulheres apresentaram uma maior mobilidade educacional.
