Abstract

Este artículo se propone integrar diferentes fundamentos teóricos de la exclusión social en una definición operativa cuya aplicación empírica permite construir mapas de la exclusión a nivel de provincias argentinas durante 1990-2010, por medio de técnicas de análisis por componentes principales y clúster. Nuestros resultados revelan el dinamismo de dicho fenómeno en Argentina, tanto en los factores determinantes como en los agrupamientos territoriales. This paper aims to integrate several theoretical bases of social exclusion in an operational definition whose empirical application allows for the construction of exclusion maps at the level of Argentine provinces during 1990-2010, by means of principal component and cluster analysis. Our results reveal the dynamism of this phenomenon in Argentina, both in terms of determining factors and territorial groupings.
