Una aproximación a la estructura productiva chilena y su relación con la desigualdad

Abstract

En los últimos años la desigualdad se ha instalado como uno de los temas más importantes para la sociedad. Actualmente se considera que el acceso universal y gratuito a la educación sería una forma de combatirla. El siguiente artículo intenta vislumbrar otro factor para determinar el origen de la desigualdad en los ingresos del trabajo: la estructura productiva y laboral chilena, la cual muestra cuatro grandes rasgos: la hegemonía del sector servicios, concentración de los trabajadores en MIPYMES, una alta concentración de ventas por parte de las grandes empresas y la reproducción del subcontrato y los empleos por cuenta propia. Generando, de esta forma, un escenario que permite que Chile sea considerado uno de los países mas desiguales de la región.
