Abstract

1922-1923 yıllarında gerçekleştirilen Lozan Barış Konferansı sırasında Türkiye ve Yunanistan arasında her iki ülkede yer alan Türk ve Rum azınlık nüfusunun birbiriyle değişimi anlamında bir uzlaşmaya varılmıştır. Bu uzlaşma kapsamında yaklaşık on yıl içerisinde gerçekleştirilen Türk-Yunan nüfus mübadelesinin iki ülke açısından da oldukça önemli sonuçları olmuştur. Gerçekleştirildiği dönemin koşullarında ulus kurma düşüncesinin bir sonucu olarak ortaya çıkan mübadele bugüne kadar birçok akademik çalışmaya konu da olmuştur. Bu çalışma, Türk-Yunan nüfus mübadelesinin nedenleri, kapsamı ve sonuçlarını karşılaştırmalı bir literatür eşliğinde ele alacaktır.
