Etiquetado y consumo responsable y sostenible de leche: la percepcion del consumidor(Sustainable and responsible labelling and consumption of milk: the consumer's perception)

Abstract

Este articulo trata de conocer la situacion del consumo responsable de leche en Espana y la percepcion del consumidor sobre las etiquetas que indican el caracter responsable y/o sostenible de un producto. Para ello se analizaron diferentes sellos y etiquetas usados a nivel nacional y se llevo a cabo una encuesta prospectiva con una muestra de 200 individuos. Los principales resultados sugieren cierta desinformacion, lo que lleva a confusion a los consumidores, quienes aceptan como validos sellos y etiquetas de contenido enganoso, ya que desconocen la existencia de certificaciones oficiales y sus implicaciones. Asi, la conclusion mas obvia es que empresas e instituciones del sector lacto deben trabajar para mejorar sus acciones de comunicacion y, en concreto, llevar a cabo acciones para formar e informar a los consumidores sobre el contenido de las diferentes etiquetas y distintivos. Este esfuerzo no seria en vano, pues estos mismos consumidores ya demandan informacion util y veraz acerca de la sostenibilidad de sus productos y procesos.
