Seleccion de Pixel Semilla mediante Wavelets para Crecimiento por Regiones Difuso

Abstract

El analisis de masas y tumores en mamografia es un problema dificil porque los signos del cancer pueden ser minimos o estar superpuestos en el tejido. Las tecnicas de procesamiento de imagenes pueden mejorar el diagnostico reduciendo los costos. La deteccion de masas es un reto debido al bajo contraste y la pobre definicion de los bordes. Una solucion al problema es representar una masa mediante conjuntos difusos. En este trabajo se estudia la propuesta de Guliato et al. que plantean dos metodos de segmentacion difusos. El primero determina el borde de una masa por crecimiento por regiones clasico, luego de un preprocesamiento difuso de la region de interes. El segundo es un metodo de crecimiento por regiones difuso. Estos metodos necesitan un pixel semilla y un umbral. En este trabajo se propone una seleccion automatica del pixel semilla mediante la seleccion de pixeles muy correlacionados segun la transformada wavelet de la imagen. Como medida de evaluacion en la segmentacion, se emplea la medida de ambiguedad definida por los autores citados. Con la seleccion de semilla propuesta se obtienen mejores resultados en la segmentacion, respecto al uso de una semilla aleatoria.
