Evaluación paramétrica y no paramétrica del desempleo pesquero en Marruecos: Una aplicación para el caso andaluz

Abstract

RESUMEN El principal objetivo es el análisis de las medidas que las diferentes administraciones pusieron en marcha para reducir las altas tasas de desempleo en la población andaluza afectada por la paralización de la actividad pesquera como consecuencia de la finalización del Acuerdo de Pesca entre la Unión Europea y Marruecos desde el 30 de noviembre de 1999. Mediante la utilización de técnicas paramétricas y no paramétricas de modelos de duración, se analiza un amplio conjunto de variables explicativas, incidiendo especialmente en la relevancia de los diferentes tipos de prestaciones por desempleo sobre las rigideces en el mercado laboral pesquero andaluz. ABSTRACT The main objective of this work is to analyse the effect of socio-economic measures on the unemployment duration of the Andalusian fishermen who were forced to stop fishing when the Fisheries Agreement between the European Union and the Kingdom of Morocco expired on 30 November 1999. Using parametric and non-parametric duration model techniques, a large set of variables is analysed in order to determine especially the effects of different types of unemployment benefits on inflexibilities in the Andalusian fishing labour market.
