Abstract

RESUMEN Frente a la controversia al respecto en economía regional, este artículo defiende la complementariedad entre la innovación regional y global en los sistemas de producción y de innovación (SPI), como clave de la articulación (dinámica, secuencial y recursiva) local-global. Para ello se introduce el concepto de nudos tecnológicos localizados (NUTELO). Los NUTELO son los eslabones de la cadena de valor donde convergen la especificidad de los SPI y el ámbito de mayor densidad de sus relaciones externas. Un esbozo de marco evolucionista se apoya en el estudio de la articulación de la citricultura valenciana con la citricultura catalana y argentino-uruguaya. ABSTRACT The local or global character of innovation in territorial innovation and production systems (IPS) is currently being discussed in regional economy. This paper outlines an evolutionist theoretical framework based on the concept of localized technological nodes (LOTENO) which are links in the value chain where internal specificity and the higher external relational density of the IPS converge. This allows the local-global articulation of the IPS to be depicted. The analysis of the interaction between the Valencian citrus fruit IPS and the Catalonian and Argentinian-Uruguayan citrus fruit IPS shows the dual sequential and recursive character that the above mentioned articulation may exhibit.
