Abstract

ABSTRACT Current research aims to show the limitations of the conventional economic approach. These limitations regard the territorial dimension of economical processes. We argue that physical environmental conditions must be integrated in the analysis as a fundamental feature. Once they are integrated, the implications of territorial speciation become manifested as well as the dynamics of unequal exchange among the territories. We use the case study of Andalusia for being representative of such processes of regional specialization within the frame of Spanish economy.
