El rentismo empresarial en México

Abstract

El capitalismo latinoamericano adolece de un comportamiento rentista que obstaculiza su desarrollo. Si bien no es el único factor del atraso, es uno de los más importantes y un rasgo característico del capitalismo mexicano. Desde una perspectiva institucional histórica, este artículo analiza sus orígenes y su consolidación en el capitalismo mexicano para contribuir a la discusión del desempeño del empresariado a la luz de las exigencias del presente.
