Virtual currency trading: friend or foe?

Abstract

This research paper investigates how virtual currency trading can affect the real world economy, with the final purpose of establishing whether it is beneficial for the economy or it is harmful. Departing from the presentation of some theoretical concepts and facts, the paper analyzes the impacts that virtual currency trading has upon the real world from an economic, legal and social point of view. The conclusions drawn upon the analysis include some brief observations regarding quality as a possible cause of the uncontrollable emergence of this practice and the future direction of humankind with regard to the evolution of technology and virtual worlds.
