Abstract

(In this paper, which is grounded in new institutional theory, we present the results of an empirical study of the internet communication of three German Blue Chip firms on the questions for what firms assume responsibility and how they communicate it. We interpret our results comprehensively and draw conclusions regarding the concept of firms in general and in business administration and economics in particular.)
