Ventaja comparativa revelada de los fertilizantes fosfatados del Departamento del Huila

Abstract

Este trabajo determina cuáles de los fertilizantes fosfatados que produce y exporta el Departamento del Huila, presenta mayores potencialidades de exportación hacia un grupo específico de países con quienes el Huila y/o Colombia han sostenido relaciones comerciales. El desarrollo metodológico demandó la implementación de un conjunto de índices dentro de los que se destacan el índice de la ventaja comparativa revelada (IVCR), el índice de intensidad importadora (III) y el índice de complementariedad comercial (ICC). Los resultados muestran que la creta y los abonos minerales son los dos productos que mayor ventaja comparativa revelada y complementariedad comercial presentan con otros países, lo que permitiría pensar que estos dos productos presentan mayores ventajas de exportación. Con respecto a los países, Panamá es quien presenta la mayor ventaja comparativa al momento de comercializar con el Departamento del Huila, seguido de Costa Rica y Ecuador.
