Desempeño innovador de un grupo de Mipymes agroindustriales argentinas

Abstract

Actualmente, la agroindustria se ubica en un momento crucial de su desarrollo. Las empresas, que tienen como principal propósito el aumento de la competitividad en términos de incremento de ventas y captación de mayor porción de mercado, desarrollan diversas estrategias entre las que se destacan las innovaciones tecnológicas. Teniendo en cuenta lo expuesto, el objetivo del presente trabajo es caracterizar el desempeño innovador de un grupo de firmas agroindustriales argentinas localizadas en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca e identificar los factores que resultan significativos para explicar el mismo. Los resultados permiten destacar que la mayor parte de las empresas realizan sólo cambios marginales menores en innovación. Las acciones innovadoras giran en torno a las mejoras en los procesos de producción y en menor medida, a la introducción de nuevos productos. En cuanto a los factores influyentes, las vinculaciones con otras instituciones de apoyo a la producción, los mercados abastecidos y el tamaño de las firmas son relevantes a los efectos de explicar dicho desempeño.
