Construcción de los índices de especialización industrial y comercial para las tres principales ciudades de Michoacán: Morelia, Uruapan y Zamora

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo es el de presentar una aplicación del Índice de Especialización Económica para los sectores industrial y comercial de Michoacán, tomando como estudios de caso a las ciudades de Morelia, Uruapan y Zamora. En este trabajo destacamos la importancia del alcance y complejidad que presentan las diversas técnicas del análisis económico-regional en las investigaciones que se realizan por parte de los estudiosos de la cuestión regional. Con el fin de explicar un aspecto particular de las economías regionales, o más precisamente cuando se pretende detectar una situación concreta es necesario llegar a constatar si éstas se especializan en ciertas actividades y en qué grado se encuentra su índice de especialización económica local o regional. Por lo que se debe limitar el concepto a definir cuáles son las actividades en que dichas economías se especializan independientemente de que exporten o consuman internamente los bienes producidos.
