Hacia una nueva Universidad

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza el proceso de elitización de la educación en México, el notable rezago de la educación básica, sus efectos sobre la educación superior y su nítida desarticulación con su entorno social y económico. Se plantea la necesidad de superar y/o relativizar el esquema de dependencia de la Universidad y de los universitarios frente al Estado, superando la debilidad actual de sus fuerzas internas, mediante el desarrollo de una serie de iniciativas que den lugar a un nuevo tipo de institución de educación superior, que sea capaz de mantener y desarrollar múltiples formas de vinculación con todos los agentes económicos y sociales, dejando únicamente la relación Universidad-Estado como una particular instancia de un mayor y más amplio complejo paquete de engranajes que la Universidad debería crear, desarrollar y manejar por cuenta propia y con personalidad protagónica. Se trata de fundamentar cómo, finalmente, la autonomía debe surgir también de relaciones autónomas con su entorno.
