Hortofruticultura en Michoacán e indicadores socioeconómicos en las principales regiones productoras, 1970-1995

Abstract

Se ha planteado que la hortofruticultura es uno de los subsectores con vocación exportadora que dinamizarán al sector agropecuario mexicano: al provocar el crecimiento en la producción y en la generación de riqueza se logrará el mejoramiento socioeconómico de las regiones productoras. En el caso específico de las principales regiones productoras del estado de Michoacán se han dado aumentos del volúmen y del valor de la producción, pero no se ha logrado mejoramiento socioeconómico esperado ya que se presenta una marcada concentración del ingreso, un retroceso en los niveles de bienestar, de emigración y de concentración urbana.
