Sobreprecio por volumen en tiendas de autoservicio en linea en Mexico

Abstract

En este articulo, estimamos que 11.15% de los productos relevantes tienen sobreprecio por volumen –el precio por unidad de la presentacion grande es mayor que el de la presentacion chica– en las tiendas de autoservicio en linea del pais. Ademas, empleamos un modelo empirico para someter a prueba varias teorias sobre los factores que lo provocan. Entre otras cosas, encontramos que el sobreprecio por volumen se presenta con mayor probabilidad en los productos refrigerados y con menor probabilidad en los productos de marca de la tienda.
