Abstract

The article is a review of Salvatore Biasco's book Le ragioni per un ritorno alla socialdemocrazia (2022), which collects essays from the author's last five years. Biasco discusses political and economic issues from the point of view of a liberal and reformist socialist who analyses the inadequacy of Italian social democracy in facing the changes in capitalism that led to the Great Recession of 2007-2008 and then to the sovereign debt crisis.
