Les hauts salaires dans la banque : talent ou collusion ?

Abstract

[fre] L'article fait le constat des très hautes rémunérations dans le secteur de la banque d'investissement. Elles s'écartent de plus en plus des rémunérations perçues dans d'autres secteurs d'activité et dans d'autres couches du salariat. Elles se comparent aisément désormais aux revenus des grands du sport et du spectacle et dépassent assez souvent celles des grands PDG, sous les feux de l'actualité. L'article examine les principales pistes d'explication, dans un domaine peu couvert encore par la recherche économique. [eng] High-Earners in Investment Banking Talent or Collusion? . The paper provides evidence on the very high levels of compensation in investment banking. The gap with other compensations is increasing. They now compare easily with compensations currently met by high-earners in sport and entertainment or at top corporate positions. The main lines of explanation are reviewed, in an area currently undercovered by the economists.
