Abstract

[eng] The confirmation in the crisis of the tertiary trend of our economies allow a renewal of analysis on the rôle of the employment service in the present socio-economic dynamics. Based on a classical view of the service, the traditionnalist analyses underline its trait of unproductiveness. They are supported by the approaches which, on the one hand, set the tertiary activities in the middle of a pattern of unbalanced growth, and, on the other hand, expose the risk of dualism in our society. Facing this, some breakaway ideas draw the picture of a real co- pernician revolution. First by allowing themself a new vision of the concept of service generated by a reformulated study of the relations between industry and tertiary activities; and then, by expressing a widened conception of wealth in the post-industrial nations. That way, should there be a post-fordist restructuration of our economies, the services will find themselves in the heart of a new economic and social regulation. There is the whole dimension of a tertiary revolution.
