Abstract
[eng] The production which has been emancipated from all kinds of subordination to the system of needs, as socially determined, the production which has become an aim in itself, is one of the characteristics of modern times. The necessary condition of this emancipation according to Marx is the general transformation of the working force into marchandise. This argument presupposes logically juridical liberty of the worker. However a free man, economically speaking, is a political individual, i. e. one of that have received a political determination as a citizen. Hence, the juridical and political liberty of the individual cannot be considered as a pure modality of a social contengencies governed by a particular economical development. They are rather the preliminary condition of this development. It is only within a specific social structure — the Sovereign State — where the individual — the worker — is recognized politically that the production may become autonomous.
