Abstract

[fre] A l'approche traditionnelle du progrès technique modifiant les conditions de l'offre et donc créant des gains de productivité, il convient d'ajouter une explication de la croissance de la demande finale par ce même progrès technique. Les cas comparés du Japon, des Etats-Unis et de la France permettent d'illustrer des impacts très différents sur l'emploi de progrès dont la diffusion et le rôle dans l'offre et la demande sont très variables. [eng] Technical progress does not only lead to productivity gains due to changes in input relations. It is a main factor of development of the final demand. As such, it can explain the clear differences between U.S., Japanese and French statistics of unemployment, technical progress and growth.
