Abstract

[eng] The rise of services in the developped economies seems to increase unemployment and to reduce growth. To test this idea, we need a precise evaluation of the effect on the gross national product of a greater number of working women, and particularly of the domestic tasks and their substitutes on the market. [fre] L'augmentation de la part des services dans les économies développées semble avoir pour corollaire la montée du chômage et la baisse de la croissance. La mesure de ce phénomène exige une évaluation exacte de l'impact sur le produit national brut de la hausse du taux d'activité féminine. Le travail féminin pose en effet le problème de la valorisation des tâches domestiques et de la comptabilisation dans le produit national brut des services marchands qui leur sont substituables.
