[fre] L'article examine les leçons à tirer de la conduite de la politique économique aux États-Unis depuis le début de la décennie 80. Elle discute d'abord les enseignements en matière de politique monétaire : le renouveau des analyses empiriques, les aléas du contrôle quantitatif et les coûts de la désinflation expliquant le retour à une politique pragmatique.
