Les économistes français en 1950

[eng] French economists in the fifties. . The purpose of the paper is twofold. On the one hand, it tries to characterize and analyze the contents and the scope of the contributions of French economists in the fifties. On the other hand, it questions the meaning of the theoretical configuration which emerges from this analysis and offers some explanation of the French specificity of post-war economists. Within the University, the debate essentially concerns liberal economists and realistic -sociologist economists. Outside the University two other groups can be mentioned : neo-marginalist economists and keynesian economists. Our paper describes the specificity of the four groups and of their respective approaches. Then, it also tries to explain why these approaches were predominant in France during the fifties. [fre] L'objet de l'article est double. Il s'agit d'abord de caractériser, puis d'analyser le contenu et la portée des travaux et recherches menés par les économistes français dans les années 1950. Il s'agit ensuite d'élucider la signification de la configuration théorique qui résulte de cette analyse et de proposer quelques éléments d'explication de la spécificité française des économistes de l'après-guerre. L'article fait apparaître quatre approches principales. Au sein de l'Université, le débat concerne essentiellement les économistes libéraux et les économistes de conception réaliste et sociologique. Hors de l'Université, deux autres ensembles apparaissent : les économistes néo-marginalistes et les économistes keynésiens. Après avoir présenté les spécificités de ces groupes, l'article propose quelques éléments d'explication de la formation de la constellation des économistes français des années 1950.
