Abstract

[eng] Money, credit and fluctuations : the real business cycle view. . The purpose of this paper is to reconsider the explanation proposed by the real business cycle view of the complex links between monetary, financial and real aggregates. The King- Plosser's model represents the benchmark way to integrate money and banking into the real business cycle theory. We propose an explicit resolution and original simulations of this model in order to evaluate its ability to reproduce the macroeconomic fluctuations in France. Then, it appears that this model suffers from some insufficiencies, more particularly centered on the correlations between monetary variables and real output. [fre] Monnaie, crédit et activité en France. La vision des cycles réels. .
