Abstract

[eng] General equilibrium and nature of generating act. . The nature of the generating act sets the problem of the existence of General Equilibrium in the Walrasian theory on both theorical and/or concrete levels.. If the generating act is conceived as the transformation of raw materials, it implies then the question of the financing of their buying. The only answer we can possibly give, within the frame of Walrasian theory of the determination of equilibrium priees makes unthinkable a situation of General Equilibrium.. It would then be essential to reduce the generating act to a combination of generating services : it is what Walras does. But one can't help thinking such a conception belongs to the first stage of an advance from fiction to reality, typical of Walrasian proceding. The second stage would consist in considering the generating act in its concrete size and asking the question of the financing of raw materials. Then, the realisation of General Equilibrium, becoming thinkable again, would prove to be impossible.
