Abstract

[eng] Time, history and economic development . . The holding back of history is the ambition of the economists, who want to set up their discipline on the pattern of the physics. Development economies, studies the processes of long term transformation of the Third-World and therefore faces the methodological problem dealing with the social which is by essence heterogenous. Either the modelling of development deals with the logical time in an homogenous way, leaving aside the structural charges ; or the development is as an historical process based on an heterogenous time. Therefore, History is looked as a repetition (under-development as a delate), as a violently imposed model (under-development product of development) or as a series of comparable stories (under-development is a combination of differences). Another approach is propos ed in this article. It tries to combine the logical and the historical time, in a way inspired by the theory of Systems.
