Abstract
[fre] Le mouvement long de l'économie : terminologie et options théoriques. . [eng] The long-term movement of the economy : terminology and theorical options. . For the discussion on long-term movernents, the vocabulary used varies from one author to one another. This situation is the resuit ol the different languages, the different theorical and doctrinal references and ail to often the result of a lack of lexical and conceptual rigour.. In this paper, we present, in a first point the diversification of the economie thought on long-term movement from Kondratieff to our days. We emphasize on the vagueness of the terminology used by all the authors. In a second part, we have choosen to explain the use of the four main expressions « long swings », « long fluctuations », « long waves » and « long cycles ». This last expression seems to us a forbidden expression. So we ask about the opportunity to call « long cycle » the long movement of economy.
