Abstract

[fre] On définit le coût total de la pollution comme la somme du coût de dépollution et du coût des nuisances engendrées par la pollution résiduelle. Le coût total est fonction du degré de dépollution. Un modèle simple a été imaginé pour formaliser et analyser cette fonction. Il permet de définir un niveau optimal de dépollution. Le modèle est ensuite appliqué au cas de la pollution d'origine automobile dans l'agglomération de Lyon. Il permet de conclure à la nécessité d'utiliser des voitures à peu près trois fois moins polluantes que les voitures actuellement utilisées. [eng] Optimal depollution and pollution:. The case of automobile pollution in a big agglomeration. The total cost of pollution is defined as depollution costs plus damage costs of residual pollution. Total cost is a function of depollution level. A simple model is set oui to analyse this function ; and to define the optimal level of depollution. The model is applied to the case of automobile pollution in the city of Lyon. It is concluded that the use of automobiles that would be about three times less polluting than today's automobiles is warranted.
