Abstract

[eng] Entrepreneurship in rural areas : diversification as a way of setting up . Diversification is no longer a specificity of the agricultural world. It is practised by urban people, in activities such as services and tourism. This article identifies the motivations of the corresponding decisions, as well as the difficulties encountered in their implementation. A statistical analysis, based on the declared income, emphasizes that this kind of occupation is far from being secondary. [fre] La pluriactivité n'est plus aujourd'hui une spécificité du monde agricole. Elle se pratique par des personnes d'origine urbaine dans des secteurs tels que les services ou le tourisme. L'objet de cet article est de rendre compte de l'originalité du phénomène tant du point de vue des motivations que de celui des démarches concrètes d'installation. Enfin, l'analyse statistique, à partir des déclarations de revenu, montre que cette forme d'emploi n'est plus marginale.
