Abstract

[fre] La stratégie du secteur des semences au Japon peut être caractérisée par son internationalisation, en particulier en Asie, les firmes japonaises délocalisent leur production de semences car les coûts de production nationaux et le taux de change du yen sont élevés, la compétitivité ainsi retrouvée permet à ces firmes d'exporter des semences sur les marchés tiers. La deuxième grande caractéristique est l'importances des investissements en matière de biotechnologies. [eng] The japanese seed industries . The Japanese seed sector strategy can be characterized by its internationalization, specially in Asia. Japanese firms delocate their national production investing in countries of the region because of the hight production costs in Japan and of the exchange rate. This new competitiveness allows these firms to export seeds on other markets. The second characteristic is the importance of investments in biotechnologies.
