Les disparités de revenus agricoles

Abstract

[eng] Agricultural income disparities . On a global basis, the average agricultural income is very close to the national average. Moreover, the percentage of net capital free of debts owned by farmers is significantly higher than the average. But agricultural retirement pensions are definitely lower. At first sight hereafter, there doesn't seem to be much income inequality between farmers and other groups of population. Nevertheless, nowhere has the meaning of an average rate been so critical in relation to the extreme diversity of agricultural situations. In a context of accelerating land restructuring all the available indicators account for an increase in the disparities among. As a result, a significant part of the agricultural population earns levels of incomes lower than the average and close to the subsistence-level Hence, departures from the land and giving up farming have been move frequent than ever in the past.
