Abstract

[eng] The qualitative dimension of management or the qualitative dimension of quantitative methods corresponds to what in decision making cannot be explained by the information given by a mathematical model. Indeed, linear or determinism can be found only in a theoretical firm. In the daily life of a firm, many non quantitative elements are included in the quantitative. That is why it is necessary to learn how to interpret information before turning it into a decision. [fre] La dimension qualitative de la gestion ou la dimension qualitative des méthodes quantitatives correspond à ce qui dans la prise de décision ne s'explique pas par l'information fournie par un modèle mathématique. En effet, le linéaire ou le déterminisme n'existe que dans une entreprise théorique. Dans la réalité quotidienne d'une entreprise, le quantitatif sous-entend toujours des éléments non quantitatifs. C'est pourquoi il faut apprendre à interpréter une information avant de la traduire en décision.
