Les opinions des agriculteurs à l'égard des nouvelles technologies. Une enquête dans le Centre et la Bretagne

Abstract

[eng] A survey conducted in 1987 in two French areas Centre and Brittany on several hundred farmers (500 questionnaires studied) showed a generally rather favourable attitude toward technical innovations of which a list had been proposed. Management data processing, reasoned fertilization, telematics and - variable with the area - crops intended for industry or energy, or selection on high-yielding animal and crops were particularly well greeted. However plough-robot, growth accelerator, growth hormone (BST) and milking-robot got a majority of unfavourable opinions. A question about innovations that farmers would like to introduce in their farm pointed out a little more reserved attitude and a strong preference for management data processing. Results are presented for both rough and weighted sample and opinion variations according to various structural characteristics of farms are also analysed. [fre] Une enquête effectuée dans le Centre et la Bretagne en 1987 auprès de plusieurs centaines d'agriculteurs (500 questionnaires dépouillés) a montré une attitude en général assez favorable aux innovations techniques dont on leur avait proposé une liste. Sont particulièrement bien accueillis l'informatique de gestion, la fertilisation raison- née, les services télématiques et, selon la région, les cultures à destination industrielle ou énergétique ou la poursuite de la sélection d'animaux et de variétés à très haut rendement. Mais le robot de labour, les accélérateurs de croissance, l'hormone de croissance, le robot de traite reçoivent une majorité d'avis défavorables. Une question relative aux innovations que les agriculteurs aimeraient introduire sur leurs exploitations montre une attitude un peu plus réservée et une forte préférence pour l'informatique. Les résultats sont présentés pour les échantillons bruts et redressés et les variations des opinions selon diverses caractéristiques structurelles des exploitations sont également analysées.
