La crise financière, les assureurs et l’économie de l’information

Abstract

[fre] La crise financière en cours depuis l’été 2007 a notamment pour origine des mécanismes qui sont au coeur de l’expertise des assureurs et que l’on regroupera sous le vocable d’économie de l’information (asymétrie d’information, aléa moral et antisélection). Il apparaît que les modèles sont à la fois indispensables et insuffisants dans un environnement incertain et complexe : l’imperfection de l’information doit être compensée par une grande attention portée aux comportements concrets des agents. Cette démarche impose une humilité constante, une certaine culture du cycle et la mise en place d’un dispositif efficace d’incitations ; dans ce sens, nous présentons brièvement quelques pistes de réflexion à la fin de cet article.
