Abstract

. Classification JEL : F23, G22 [eng] Axa and the benefits of being global . With a € 79 billion consolidated turnover and 52 million customers worldwide in 2006, the Axa Group is harvesting the benefits of its strong geographic diversification. Since 1989, geographic expansion is at the heart of the Group’s strategy : in just 25 years a local French mutual has become a leading worldwide specialist of financial protection, capable of leveraging its competitive advantages across continents. From access to more dynamic growth pools to product innovation, financial diversification and economies of scale, the benefits from this global presence are numerous : Axa is now taking advantage of its global presence to better fuel organic growth in parallel of its successful acquisitions. . JEL classification : F23, G22
