Abstract
[eng] During the after-war period, industrial dynamics were most of the time analyzed through sectorial approaches. Since approximately twenty years, the strange phenomena that economists are facing is a renewed coincidence between the development of new industrial activities and regional concentration. Today, questions about industrial dynamics are more and more taken into account in regional economics and vice-versa. This paper presents the concept of "innovative regional milieu" and shows how this concept can be applied to the industrial transformations of a region. Starting from industrial sectors existing in the Jura region, old activities regenerated, others developed. Each time, it is possible to understand the transformation by crossing regional and industrial dimensions. Finally, innovative milieus are compared with other views about regional development. The implications of this view on the interactions between industry and space are discussed.
