Abstract

[fre] L'importance économique du cinéma français est surévaluée. Notamment lorsqu'on le compare aux autres industries cinématographiques européennes.. La raison en est que les indicateurs choisis (nombre des spectateurs payants, nombre de films produits et parc de salles standards) ne reflètent que très partiellement la vitalité de ce secteur d'activité.. Deux indicateurs doivent désormais être pris en compte : le volume des investissements dans la production et les recettes à l'exportation. [eng] The economic importance of the french film industry is overvalued, particularly when compared with the other european film industries.. The reason is that the indications used (number of paying spectators, number of films produced and number of cinemas) do reflect only very partially the vitality of this sector.. Two indicators have to be used : the volume of investments and the exports.
